Projects

Every room has one hard problem.

A finished photo shows a result. It doesn't show the beam we worked around, the slab that wasn't level, or the wall we built so the enclosure had something to hang on. Each project below names the constraint and what we did about it.

A bare shell to five bays

The problem

A bare retail shell: open slab, exposed deck, and a structural column standing exactly where a bay wanted to go. Bays running back to back all day share walls, sound carries between them, and sightlines between screens pull a player's eye at the wrong moment. Both are unfixable once the studs are up.

What we built

Separation and sightlines planned before framing started. Bay partitions are positioned so no screen is visible from an adjacent hitting position, with acoustic treatment built into the walls. The column was absorbed into the layout. Overhead units on a shared calibration, turf and subfloor throughout, and a floor plan that lets staff walk behind every bay without crossing a swing.

This one is ours. 247 Indoor Golf has run seven days a week ever since, which is how we know what holds up.

Four bays in a 4,000 sq ft recreation facility

The problem

An industrial flex space with hard white walls and an open steel deck. Rooms like this are loud before anything is installed, and four bays running at once in 4,000 square feet means sound and sightlines have to be solved by where things sit, not by what gets hung on the walls afterwards.

What we built

Four bays on Foresight Falcons, overhead so the floor stays clear and a left-hander needs nothing moved. Freestanding enclosures positioned so no screen sits in a neighbouring player's eyeline, projectors on ceiling arms, hitting mats on full turf, and mobile monitor cabinets so the operator can reconfigure a bay.

Low ceiling, a column in the wrong place, a lefty and a righty under one roof, a wall you'd rather not lose. The constraint is usually the interesting part, and it's what we'd rather hear about first.
